NHS Elect modular training programme for improvement leaders

In conversation with members, we have identified a need to create a programme that supports senior service improvement leaders across our network and provides you with an opportunity to meet and network with one another.  We will therefore be delivering a modular training programme taking place over the next 12 months, that provides both formal training and development and supplements this with action learning to allow service improvement leads to share their experiences and help one another to drive local QIPP programmes. We will co-design the programme with you in module one but would expect to cover the following broad areas:

Module

1. Leading improvement – an introduction and co-design of the programme
2. The internal consultancy cycle and contracting for improvement
3. Project management
4. Practical tools and techniques for improvement - process mapping, capacity and demand, measurement
5. Human dimensions of change – personal styles, influencing and negotiation
6. Facilitation skills – role of the facilitator, practical tools and skills for successful facilitation
7. Leadership – adopting a coaching style of leadership

We are delivering the programme in partnership with the Beech Consultancy. The Beech Consultancy is a performance and organisational development consultancy that works with a very wide range of public and private sector organisations across the UK, providing capacity through consulting services and enabling sustainability through open development courses.  For more information please visit www.thebeechconsultancy.co.uk.

The  programme offers a fantastic opportunity for our members to receive some excellent training and development and to network with one another and we really hope that you will encourage someone to participate from your site.
