Over this school holiday we want to give toddlers and young children the chance to learn the general skills required to play squash and enjoy playing their first squash games and matches. During the coaching sessions players will learn: 1. How to move and interact safely in a squash court. 2. Basic racket skills 3. Develop, forehand, backhand, serve and serve return. 4. Racket head skills and apply them to racket and ball awareness 5. Analyse their own and others work to help them improve. More experienced players will also learn additional shots such as cross court, volley and boast from varying conditions. Equipment will be provided following Government Guidelines. It is a requirement that all participants have a bottle of water and comfy clothes, as this is a sport-based activity!!!! Like the sound of this course? What to do next? For all our face to face delivery we will be following COVID-19 guidance from the government. Venues have been assessed to ensure social distancing practice is in place and activities will follow a strict bubble grouping system. Please note Parents and Carers will not be able to wait on site. There will be a drop off and collect point only. If you would like certain children to be grouped in the same bubble due to them being friends or due to travel arrangements, please can both parents/carers let us know via email byes@barnet.gov.uk If you child is unwell or has any of the COVID-19 symptoms then your child will be unable to attend the session.
