Join the Strength and Learning Through Horses parent and child therapy course to build relationships and communication skills while learning how to train horses. The team of horse behaviourists will teach you and your child how a horse thinks, what worries them and what motivates them. Using this knowledge to build a relationship of trust with the horse, you and your child will train them to undertake a number of fun activities. Please note: You nor your child do not ride the horses in this project. It is all floor based. Course will still go ahead in the rain, please dress accordingly. Younger siblings will not be able to attend, only parent and x1 child will be able to attend due to COVID19 procedures. You will need transport to get to the stables. For all our face to face delivery we will be following COVID-19 guidance from the government. Venues have been assessed to ensure social distancing practice is in place and activities will follow a strict bubble grouping system. Please note Parents and Carers will not be able to wait on site. There will be a drop off and collect point only. If you would like certain children to be grouped in the same bubble due to them being friends or due to travel arrangements, please can both parents/carers let us know via email byes@barnet.gov.uk If you child is unwell or has any of the COVID-19 symptoms then your child will be unable to attend the session.
