All coaching conversations are confidential. In some circumstances, with client consent,
feedback can be agreed and given to the sponsoring manager although more typically, our
approach is to empower the coaching client. Prior to commencement of coaching, the potential coachee will speak with a member of the faculty team to confirm the coaching approach, understand the practical process and agree next steps. All clients are asked to ‘contract’ with their assigned coach. This will require a commitment to
the programme; attendance at agreed meetings; a set of objectives for the coaching
experience and an agreement to give feedback to the coach. Coaching clients will also need to agree their access to coaching via NHS Elect with the membership lead at their organisation.
