Up to 4 action focussed coaching sessions with a trained coach (more sessions are possible).

1-2 hours long
Sessions are typically 1-2 hours long, available either online, or face-to-face in a suitable location.
Confidentiality
The only person who might choose to talk about your coaching conversations is you.
Commitment to coaching

The client must be prepared to commit to the coaching sessions and dedicate time to the process.

Expert coaches

All of the NHS Elect coaching team are experienced, trained members of the Association for Coaching. They undertake regular supervision, CPD and abide by the global code of ethics.

Bespoke programmes

Each client’s needs are different, so a bespoke programme is always agreed to best suit them.

A range of techniques
A number of coaching tools and techniques will be utilised to help develop insight and awareness and ultimately, enable the client to take action.
A flexible approach
Our coaching team will agree how and where your coaching happens. This could be in person, online or more commonly, a combination.

The coaching contract

All coaching conversations are confidential. In some circumstances, with client consent, feedback can be agreed and given to the sponsoring manager although more typically, our approach is to empower the coaching client. Prior to commencement of coaching, the potential coachee will speak with a member of the faculty team to confirm the coaching approach, understand the practical process and agree next steps.

All clients are asked to ‘contract’ with their assigned coach. This will require a commitment to the programme; attendance at agreed meetings; a set of objectives for the coaching experience and an agreement to give feedback to the coach. Coaching clients will also need to agree their access to coaching via NHS Elect with the membership lead at their organisation.
