Robin Davis

Having worked in various senior NHS management roles, Robin combines a realistic outlook with the latest change management thinking to achieve results. He has a genuine understanding of the competing demands of operational health care management and the challenge of meaningfully engaging clinicians in quality improvement. He is an accomplished facilitator and enjoys the challenge of working with teams to bring about improvements for patients and staff. A graduate from the NHS management training scheme in 2002, he has an MSc in Health Care Policy and Management.

Robin leads the quality improvement faculty at NHS Elect and is passionate about supporting organisations to design and deliver organisation-wide QI improvement initiatives.  Robin is a trained coach and supports quality improvement coaches across the NHS.  Robin has supported hundreds of teams across the country and enjoys facilitating team away days, workshops and development sessions.  Having worked in the NHS since 1997, Robin understands the challenges NHS staff face and is excited to be leading the Happier Working Lives programme for NHS Elect, which uses quality improvement tools to improve working lives across the NHS. Robin is an expert facilitator with passion for service improvement, service redesign and coaching.

Sidney Beech

Sid joined NHS Elect in 2023 and has worked in both Acute and Community settings in the NHS in a range of roles including insights, patient safety, quality improvement and education. Sid is a member of the QI Faculty at NHS Elect and delivers a range of quality improvement training, workshops, strategy development and more.

Some of Sid’s recent accomplishments include leading on the national co-design of the Quality Coach Development Programme in partnership with 43 other healthcare leaders from across the UK and Ireland. This programme provides a national benchmark for QI coach capability building, and has been adopted throughout the country. Prior to this, Sid set up and delivered the first Master’s degree programme for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in England, delivered jointly by Northampton General Hospital and the University of Northampton. As well as a Senior Lecturer for this programme, Sid also acted as a Visiting Lecturer to the Leicester Medical School for the Patient Safety Curriculum.

Sid has a passion for systems improvement and is currently leading on a national project to co-create a Systems Improvement Practitioner programme. This work builds on the significant demand for support around systems improvement across the UK and is supported by the Health Foundation’s Q Exchange programme 2024.
