This course has been co-produced with the Women’s Environmental Network, who also has many community gardening programmes as an activity to support recovery. There is growing evidence showing the benefits of using gardening as an activity to support mental health and reduce stress. Whilst gardening provides an opportunity to reduce stress by being in nature and its beauty, it also allows us to feel a sense of achievement which can boost our self-esteem and confidence. This course will explore how you can get started gardening at home!
