Overview

This course focusses on taking a coaching approach and how to use coaching skills in the workplace.

This course is not formal training to work and practice as a coach - that requires intensive training, along with formal qualification and accreditation*

However, the training materials and insights provided here will be useful for those who have to work with and through other people in order to make progress on or achieve their objectives.

It is an ideal course for those in their first line-management or leadership roles, or for people who have not previously had training in this area.

It will introduce participants to coaching; what it is, what it isn’t, and how taking a coaching approach by using coaching skills and having structured conversations with your colleagues at work, that might help them to achieve more.

*By way of example, all of the coaching team at NHS Elect are expected to work toward the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching & Mentoring or equivalent and are registered as members of the Association for Coaching.
